Art in Venice

Giudecca 795 Art Gallery was established in 2007; its mission has been and remains the search and presentation of new talents. Photography, painting, design and -- more recently -- street art and mosaics are the different modes of expression being explored.
This year's exhibit programme focuses both on the artists with whom the gallery already collaborates and on talent-scouting competitions such as the "One Day in Venezia Photo Contest" for aspiring photographers.
The use of our exhibiting space allows us to host the solo show of Francesco Sabbatucci

.. and to be the first gallery for street art in Venice, proud to present Inside-Outers: 4 street artists in Venice, as on the occasion of the 58th Art Biennale, besides spreading drops of lively art and beauty in the most abandoned corners of Venice, four artists have produced original pieces at our gallery, and this puts their work under a very special light. If you want to get the difference between street art and vandalism, the meaning of "art can swim", or if you wish to start or deepen your knowledge and feeling about today's young contemporary art, and think on your personal idea of Venice, come and meet us at Giudecca795.

The exhibiting activity on the occasion of the 58th Biennale Arte has been somehow revolutioned after the encounter with the Inside-Outers, and we have delayed some of the scheduled events. The programme is still centered on some returns, by artists who debuted at our gallery, and on the currently represented artists.
Female sculptor Paola Grizi, among the artists who debuted at Giudecca795 and has received great acclaimed by critics and public alike. Among next artists: Marcelle Ottier, Jan Mizo, RG, Schisci Lab: to be more specific, all the represented artists of the gallery are exhibited during the Biennale but with a varying exposure, being protagonists on a rotation basis. As previously said, we are now adding the 4 Inside-Outers and Jaroslav Mares, whom we would like to thank here for his patience.

We confirm the collaboration with the One Day in Venezia photo contest (which awards a winner each month and a yearly Grand Prize Winner). All year ’round, Giudecca 795 offers part of its space to the contest, hosts the winner's solo show, the collective exhibition of the 12 finalists and the special prizes, and a digital display showing all the submitted photos. The display gives visibility to all the participants in a kaleidoscope of very special images of Venice as seen through the eyes of its most attentive visitors. We are scheduling the solo show of last year's contest Grand Winner, Jaroslav Mares from Czech Republic, and the finalists' group show. Also in the previous editions we have found interesting new talents, whom we are encouraging. To mention some: the Grand Winner 2017 Tatiana Lazareva (Russia) has revealed her style in the solo show hosted by the gallery, and is now listed among our artists :) . Annik Susemihl has been intensifying her activity as a photographer and has published a Venice Carnival calendar of her own with a German publisher. Way to go!
