Simona Bramati is a young woman painter from the Italian region of Marche, a talent launched nationally by art critic and curator Vittorio Sgarbi who included her art in the 2005 prestigious show “Il Male. Esercizi di pittura crudele” (Evil. Cruel Painting Exercises) in the Palazzina di Caccia di Stupinigi, Turin, and then in 2007 in the collective “Arte Italiana 1968–2007: Pittura” (Italian Art: Painting") at the Milan Royal Palace. In 2008 the artist presented her solo “Lachesi, la filatrice del destino” a Palazzo della Signoria in Jesi (AN) which in three weeks totalized over 6500 visitors, is visited by her “artistic godfather” Sgarbi and attracts the interest of the national and regional press. After a series of exhibits and important acknowledgements and acquisitions by museums, Bramati has been invited to the 54th Venice Biennial Padiglione Italia regione Marche. see link In Venice she will exhibit from 24 September 2011 with her solo curated da Beatrice Buscaroli (the previous curator of the Italian Pavillion, at the 2009 Venice Biennial) with the participation of poet and writer Davide Rondoni.
