Born in Rome in 1976. After his studies in History of Art, he moved to London, where he spent several years. He then decided to pursue a career as an artist, whose inspiration started in the hills of the Val D'Orcia in Tuscany. From the early days, Giulio was particularly attracted by the artistic developments of the pre-Renaissance, a period of transition between the dark days of the middle ages, and the splendour of the Renaissance. Giulio's life itself is characterised by a desire to find a perfect balance between opposites: from the classical studies to his work in digital advertising, from the hustle and bustle of London to the rarefied silence of the Tuscan hills, he has been striving to find himself a space in the middle. His works, suspended between the descriptive and the surreal have therefore become his way to build a bridge between contrasts, and find his own balance.
