Emilio Tadini (Milano 1927 - 2002), Italian painter, writer, and poet. He has been the president of the Brera Academy of Fine Arts and started his career as a writer and poet for the "Il Politecnico" review by Elio Vittorini in 1947. His first exhibits date back to the Sixties, and in 1978 and 1982 he was invited to exhibit at the Biennale di Venezia. He was art critic for the major italian newspaper Corriere della Sera. He died in Milano on 25 September 2002. As Umberto Eco wrote, he was "a writer who paints, a painter who writes".
